miss lily

i have a new niece.
finally an outlet to all the depravity i feel when i shop for childrens clothing.
don't get me wrong, it's fun to dress boys.
they get to wear some great stuff. nerdy bowties, checkered vans, fedoras, beanies, awesome biff-style tracksuits, you get the picture.
however,
dressing a girl is so much more involved. skirts, leggings, florals, ruffles, shoes, colors, it all beckons to me as i dutifully walk past to the assortment of cargo shorts and polos on the other side of the store.
i even broke down and purchased a pair of ruby red bejeweled flats for the baby that actually turned out to be mr. abram. brady says no way will he wear them.
but maybe lily can...
oh lily, my excuse, my justification.
i now have a reason...nay, a responsibility to linger a little longer on 'the other side' of the store...
